John R. Bashaw served as the Chair of CVLC’s Board of Directors from 2014 to 2016. He is a member of the Connecticut and Massachusetts Bar Associations and has served on CVLC’s Board since 2009. John has actively practiced environmental and land use law since 1987 and currently is a member of Reid and Riege’s Environmental and Litigation Practice Areas.
Adam M. Dworkin
Practice Administrator, Griffin Faculty Practice Plan
Adam M. Dworkin is the Executive Director of Griffin Faculty Practice Plan, Inc. a subsidiary of Griffin Hospital. Before embarking on a business career, he served on active duty as an officer in the United States Navy. Adam holds a law degree as well as an MBA and is admitted to practice law in Connecticut.
CT Comm. on Child Protection
John Kelley is the Executive Director of Children in Placement and has served on state committees focused on child protection and justice. He has served as an officer in the United States Army Reserve since 1990. In that time he has served on active duty in Iraq, Afghanistan and Washington. He has been awarded the Bronze Star as well as other decorations. John holds two masters degrees as well as a Juris Doctorate.
Sikorsky, A Lockheed Martin Company
Kevin Lenehan is the current Chair of CVLC’s Board of Directors. He is the Senior Counsel- Litigation at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, Connecticut. Kevin manages and directs most litigation at Sikorsky, including all products liability matters, contracts and insurance-related litigation. Kevin has been at Sikorsky in that role since 2008. Prior to joining Sikorsky, Kevin was a litigation associate at LeBoeuf Lamb/Dewey LeBoeuf in Hartford. Kevin retired from the US Navy as a Commander (O-5) after 22+ years. During that time we was, among other things, a helicopter pilot with experience flying the H-53D/E, the UH-60, the TH-57 and the T-34. Kevin lives in Connecticut with his wife Mary and has three children, Kathryn (Katy), Kevin Jr. and Patrick. Kevin has been active in veterans causes since his retirement and during his time at Sikorsky he has taken a leadership role in the Sikorsky Homerun for Heroes (HFH) fundraiser which raises money and awareness for CVLC, Harkness House and the Connecticut Fallen Heroes Foundation. This year, HFH will also support the Madaras House, a community-based transitional home for homeless female Veterans in Connecticut.
Whiting Forensic Division, State of CT DHMAS
Dr. Michael Moravecek is a licensed psychologist who has worked for the State of Connecticut’s Department of Mental Health since completing his postdoctoral training in 2008. He has also served in the reserve component of the U.S. Army for over 10 years, completing deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Afghanistan. Dr. Moravecek currently serves as a Behavioral Health Officer in the Connecticut Army National Guard and lives with his wife, Beth, and two children, Jimmy and Sophie.

Mr. O’Hanlan is a veteran and a current partner at Robinson & Cole. In over 30 years of trial practice, Mr. O’Hanlan has successfully represented clients before forums ranging from municipal land use and wetlands agencies to NASD arbitrations to jury and bench trials in state and federal courts to appeals before the Connecticut Supreme Court. He is a retired Navy captain (JAG) after 25 years of active and reserve service.

Bill Pieper is a Vice President with Pentegra Retirement Services, which is a leading provider of retirement plan and fiduciary outsourcing solutions to organizations nationwide. Since joining Pentegra in 2008, he has been the senior trust officer responsible for its trust company and the president of its broker dealer. He has over 30 years of experience in trust administration and investments to include providing fiduciary services to retirement plans, foundations, endowment funds, and other charitable organizations. Bill currently serves as a member of the Board of Finance for the Town of North Haven. He also is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel with over 23 years of military service while on active duty and in the National Guard and the Army Reserve.

Brian Pierne is a financial executive with Deloitte & Touche LLP focused on financial planning, operations improvements, and controller activities. Brian has led projects ranging from due diligence on acquisitions to financial transformations during his 25+ years at Deloitte. Brian holds a BS from the University of Connecticut and a MS from Fairfield University.

David Rosen is CVLC’s Founding Board Chair. David runs a law firm based in New Haven that focuses on the trial and appeal of complex cases. He is also on the faculties of Yale Medical School and Yale Law School. David is a graduate of Yale Law School and lives with his family in New Haven.
The Reverend Dr. John Selders, Jr.
Moral Monday CT
Bishop John L. Selders, Jr., CLS, D.D. is an ordained minister serving in the United Church of Christ, the Organizing Pastor of Amistad United Church of Christ in Hartford, Associate College Chaplain at Trinity College, and one of the leaders of Moral Monday Connecticut. For 15 years, he served as Executive Director of Zezzo House, an 18-unit housing project, in Hartford, Connecticut. He worked for twelve years as a lecturer at the Yale Divinity School, was an adjunct faculty member in the Field Education Department of Andover Newton Theological School, Dean of Urban Ministry Track for the Anglican Divinity School, and is an adjunct faculty member for the Seminary Consortium for Urban Pastoral Education.

John J. Shay, Jr. is the former Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for IBM Credit LLC. John served as a Captain in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was awarded a Bronze Star. He holds a J.D. from Fordham Law School as well as an MA in International Relations from the University of Maryland.
Kathleen (Kathi) Tourjee has served as head of Human Resources of WebMD since September 2011. She joined WebMD in December 2010 as Sr. Director, Total Rewards. Prior to joining WebMD, Ms. Tourjee was Sr. Director, Global Compensation at Pfizer, Inc. Her career at Pfizer spanned 29 years and several divisions, beginning in 1981 as a chemical process engineer and progressing through increasing levels of responsibility during 12 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing and 17 years in Human Resources.
Kathi earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and an MS in Business from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
She lives in Norwalk with her husband and has two grown children. Her previous volunteer work has included many years of youth coaching as well as serving on the Board of Directors for Family Service of Southeastern Connecticut. She is delighted to be joining the CVLC Board, at least in part, as a tribute to her late father, who did a tour of duty with the Marines. His service, although brief, helped define his own values and those of his children.

With his passion for supporting sports industry businesses and clients in Connecticut, he acts as outside general counsel to the Eastern College Athletic Conference and serves as Chair of the Sports and Entertainment Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.
