Captain Celine A. Finn Legacy Society
Planned giving (also known as gifts in your will, bequeaths, or estate gifts) is a way to make the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center a part of your lasting legacy.
In 2022, we were humbled to establish our Legacy Society with the receipt of our first planned gift from the estate of US Navy Captain Celine A. Finn. Captain Finn was an extraordinary member of the Navy Nurse Corps for 28 years, serving with devotion and great skill. She was well loved by family, friends, and her fellow sailors. When she passed, we were honored to be among the beneficiaries of her estate and thankful for her family’s support.
As we approach our 15th anniversary in 2024, Connecticut Veterans Legal Center is poised to fight for Veterans for decades to come. Your commitment will provide a lasting foundation for this work with no cost to you now.
Will you join us as an inaugural member of the Captain Celine A. Finn Legacy Society?
There are many ways to make a planned gift and become a member of the Captain Celine A. Finn Legacy Society. The most common ways people include a non-profit organization such as CVLC in their estate planning are through:
- Beneficiary Designations, including: IRA, 401K, Donor Advised Funds, Life Insurance
- Wills and Testamentary Trusts
- Charitable Trusts or Gift Annuities
In addition to providing lasting support to CVLC, your planned gift may have many tax benefits to you and your heirs. Please discuss with your financial advisor to learn what works best for you and your family.
Are you considering a planned gift or have you already included us in your estate? Call or email Shannon Mykins, Director of Development and Communications, to have a confidential discussion and to learn more about how Connecticut Veterans Legal Center will benefit from your gift for decades to come at (203) 208-8635.
